  • Winterfest! Frozen Family Fun Day in South Routt
    • When: February 22nd, 11am - 12pm
    • Where: Decker Park
    • What: Join Yampatika Naturalists at Decker Park for a Winter Festival kickoff!
      Dress for the weather and get ready to learn about how our local wildlife move through the snow, practice your moves, and go on a snowshoe scavenger hunt. FREE, no registration required! All ages welcome!
  • Yampatika Storytime in South Routt
    • When: March 20th, 10 - 11an
    • Where: Oak Creek Public Library
    • What: Join Yampatika at the Oak Creek Library to listen to a story and learn about how our local wildlife are getting ready for winter! Afterward, we'll go explore outside and see what wildlife we can find. Please make sure you're dressed for the weather!
  • Yampatika South Routt Snowshoes
    • When: December 21st, January 4th, and March 8th
    • Where: Varies, Aspen Flats and Rossi Meadow
    • What: Join Yampatika on the trails in South Routt! Learn about local wildlife, geology, snow science, and more- all in your backyard. Registration required. Locations vary - check yampatika.org for details and registration information.

Full Moon Snowshoe Tours at Stagecoach
    • When: January 12th from 4:45-6:15pm and March 15th from 7-8:30pm
    • Where: Stagecoach State Park, Keystone Parking Area
    • What: These snowshoe tours will allow folks to explore the winter wonderland of
      Stagecoach Reservoir by the light of the (almost) full moon. Along the way, we’ll search for signs of wildlife and talk about the incredible Yampa River.
