The After School Program is offered Mondays through Thursdays during the school year, and the Friday Full Day Program is offered every Friday during the regular school session from August 22nd through May 31st following the Soroco school calendar. Transportation is provided Monday through Thursday via school bus from Soroco Elementary School in Yampa to the South Routt Community Center in Oak Creek. Mondays through Thursdays kids will find themselves in a supportive environment where they can work on homework, have a healthy after school snack, and get a bit of active play time as well as opportunities for free play and arts and crafts. We will also be continuing the Fun with Spanish and other enriching classes. On Fridays, programming will include math and science enrichment activities, environmental/outdoor education experiences, community service and outreach, as well as other opportunities that are available working with our partners, including Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, Stagecoach State Park, Partners of Routt County and Yampatika.

SUMMER DAY CAMP – REGISTRATION BEGINS APRIL 19, 2018
Geared towards ages 5-12, the Oak Creek Summer Day Camp provides a full day of activities focused on environmental/outdoor education, art, individual and team sports, personal empowerment, community service and outreach and maintaining reading and math skills.
Camp begins in June of 2018 (with two weeks of swimming lessons) and is open to any child regardless of residency.
Registration information and forms will be available April of 2018 below when registration opens. They must be printed, filled out and submitted in hard copy, faxed to Town Hall (Fax #: 970-736-8225) or scanned and emailed to email@example.com. Each family will only need to fill out one Recreation Family Record and one Swimming Lesson Registration Form, but Session Registration and Intake Forms are needed for each child. The Medication Administration Form is only necessary for any child that needs or may potentially need medication administered during Camp hours.

Scholarships: The Oak Creek Parks & Recreation Department has scholarships available for those families of limited means. We strive to include all willing participants and not deny participation of any young person due to the inability of the family to pay, however funds are limited.
